Comparison and Evaluation on search effectiveness
Compare the search results. Identify 2 characteristics that make all 3 search facilities similar or different from one another.
- Database
- Speed

Do you find any strength/weakness of each of them, in terms of search capability?
The amount of searches from the subject directories and meta search engine differs from search engines as they have lesser results. With less results specific sites can be found from the keywords however subject directories may not give the information you need. Search engines tend to search faster as they have a big database so speed is crucial.

Overall, which search facility best meet your searching needs? Why?
Meta search engines because they give specific results with variations of a reasonable amount.

Found many useful information in the trends in this week!

Week 1 Stuff

The researches from the internet are done from various sources of the following:
- Discussion Forums
- Electronic Journals and Magazine
- WWW site

Discussion Forum
http://forums.digitaltrends.com/showthread.php?t=10623

The forum discusses about the ideas of the latest trends such as the issure of downloadable music.

I shall elaborate on that...

The trend of the rising number in teenagers downloading music rather than buying them. However these trends bring about the payable downloadable music, meaning you can download the particular track at a reasonable price rather than having to buy the whole album. I would understand that many people buy a complete album for the best selling song.

Electronic Journals and Magazine
http://www.portfolio.com/views/columns/2008/05/09/Trends-in-Music-Distribution

This journal focuses on the music trends for teenagers that the music industry should provide free music to everyone because either way people are still downloading music, on this idea, he introduce to build a brand on those recordings and make money from items rather than music.

WWW site
http://www.editorsweblog.org//analysis/2005/11/teenage_trends_even_scarier_fo.php

This site is a weblog that shows the effect on the music industry due to the habits of teenagers. An example would be that teenagers continue to look for music in many sources to download, teenagers who downloads believe that it is unrealistic to expect people to self- regulate and avoid free downloads and file sharing which is very common these days.
